  • Born in Bologna, 30/5/1951
  • He studied classics at school, before graduating in Civil Engineering in 1976;
  • Between 1977 and 1983 and 1988 and 1991, he worked with the Institute of Architecture and Town Planning at Bologna University's Faculty of Engineering, as part of the Technical Town Planning course, where he taught Territorial Planning;
  • Between 1978 and 1988, he worked for various permanent construction company consortia, holding offices primarily connected with material and works marketing;
  • Since 1988 he has held a number of offices within BolognaFiere S.p.A., including:
    • Coordinator of the SAIE Scientific Committee, from 1988 to the present day;
    • SAIE (Italy's leading building exhibition and one of the largest in Europe), which he re-launched together with several other events in the BolognaFiere calendar;
    • Fairsystem, a joint venture company established by Fiera di Rimini and BolognaFiere, for the staging of trade fairs abroad. He ran the company between 1994 and 2005, holding the office of Managing Director, during which time he implemented BolognaFiere's programme abroad in the most important international events.
    • Since 2002, he has once again held a managerial position within BolognaFiere S.p.A., in the Construction – Industry area: trade fairs in which product innovation is a key element of marketing.

Michel Cyr occupe le poste de premier vice-président, Développement chez SITQ depuis juin 2007. à ce titre, il est responsable de la planification, de l'analyse ainsi que de la réalisation de tous les projets d'investissement en développement immobilier de la Société au Canada, ainsi que sur la scène internationale.


Profil

M. Cyr s'est joint à SITQ en tant que vice-président, Développement et construction, en 1999. Avec ses 30 années d'expérience dans le monde de l'immobilier et de la construction, M. Cyr a démontré une capacité à saisir les enjeux stratégiques et les tendances des marchés. Au cours de sa carrière, il a participé à la planification et à la mise en œuvre de nombreux projets immobiliers d'envergure dont la Cité Multimédia et le Centre CDP Capital à Montréal ainsi que des projets d'immeubles de bureaux à New York, Seattle, Vancouver, Calgary, Paris et Londres.

Diplômé de l'école Polytechnique de Montréal en génie civil, Michel Cyr est également détenteur d'une maîtrise en ingénierie spécialisée en structures ainsi que d'un MBA en finances de HEC Montréal.


Rayonnement

M. Cyr siège aux conseils d'administration de la Fondation du Musée Pointe-à-Callière et de l'Association des diplômés de l'Université de Montréal. De plus, il est membre permanent du comité de direction de l'Observatoire SITQ du développement urbain et immobilier de l'Université de Montréal. Depuis deux ans, il s'implique également auprès des étudiants de la Faculté d'aménagement de l'Université de Montréal, en leur présentant une conférence dans le cadre du cours Montage et gestion de projets internationaux.

Parcours

Isabelle Deschamps started her career as an engineer; she worked in the field of quality control, process engineering and non destructive testing and industrial R&D from 1977 to 1982, in companies such as Hydro-Quebec, Stelco and Alcan. For the last twenty five years, she has devoted her time to technological transfers between industrial and university research laboratories and industry members. She taught Technology and Manufacturing Strategy at HEC-Montréal from 1988 to 1996, and developed training programs - at the Ministère de l'Industrie, du Commerce, de la Science et de la Technologie, at the National Research Council of Canada and at the Business Development Bank of Canada - intended for advisors and managers in technological and manufacturing SMEs specializing in R&D management and technological transfers.

From 1996 to 2007, Mrs. Deschamps has devoted her professional time exclusively to supporting, coaching and financing start-up and pre start-up companies, first as Vice-President from 1996 to 2001 of Inno-centre, a technological incubator; secondly as Vice-president and Partner of Capimont, a private venture capital group involved in early-stage financing of projects in sectors such as environment, medical equipment, electronics, new materials, energy efficiency. She has participated directly in evaluating close to two thousand innovative projects and has contributed directly to the support of over 60 corporate projects, including some twenty spin-off projects with research centres (National Research Council, Optics National Institute) and Canadian universities.

Isabelle Deschamps sits on the boards of provincial and federal agencies created for the purpose of supporting innovation. In December 2007, she was nominated by the Government of Quebec as a member of the Science and Technology Council; since 2004, she chairs at the Regional Council of the Canadian Technology Network (CTN) for Innovation-Quebec (sponsored by the Canadian research council and Developpement économique Canada).

She is also member of the following boards : the Association de la recherche industrielle du Québec (vice-president, ADRIQ), the Canadian Advisory Board of the National Research Council of Canada - Industrial Research Assistance Program (CNRC-IRAP), the Advisory Board of Industrial Chairs and Collaborative research of Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (CRSNG), the Scientific Committee of the Centre québécois de recherche et de développement de l'aluminium, and the Board of Nano-Québec.

Richard DESJARDINS

Richard holds a bachelor degree and a Master of Applied Science degree in civil engineering from Laval University. Before joining the Forintek Canada Corp. team, he held a number of positions in solid mechanics research in civil and aerospace engineering. As a structural engineer, he is the eastern region building systems program manager at FPInnovations in Quebec City. His field of work in research and development focuses on the innovative use of wood products and systems. He is an active member on a number of codes and standards technical committees in Canada and in North America (NLGA, ASTM, CSA, etc…). He also taught, for 5 years, the wood engineering classes at Laval University.

Profil

Arnaud Dragicevic est chercheur postdoctoral en environnement au CIRANO. Ses recherches portent notamment sur l'évaluation économique des biens publics environnementaux. Il a été président-fondateur d'Oikos Paris, une association étudiante de réflexion sur le développement économique durable.
